Mexico holds a training camp and friendly tournament in Qatar
DOHA, Qatar, August 27 2014 - The national team of Mexico
prepares to the FIVB Men’s World Championships of Poland by
holding a training camp and a friendly tournament against
countries like Qatar, Argelia and Venezuela.
This friendly tournament is part of their preparation after
their participation at the IX Men’s Pan American Cup celebrated
in Tijuana, Mexico.
Mexico has played friendly matches against Venezuela and Qatar.
In their first one, the team coached by Sergio Hernandez lost in
straight sets
(18-25, 22-25,20-25) against Venezuela.
The second match, celebrated at the Al-Arabi Sporting Club
Gymnasium was against the hosts, who won in four (25-18, 22-25,
25-16 and 25-19).
The team opened with the same line up used since the beginning
of the training camp with Carlos Guerra, Pedro Rangel, Tomas
Aguilera, Samuel Cordova, Daniel Vargas, Jorge Quinones and
Reynold Rangel as libero.
Mexico will play its third match of this friendly competition
against Algeria and expects to grab first win in Doha before
departing to Gdansk, Poland, to play at the World Championship
scheduled from August 30th to September 21st. |
