Mexico once again at the top of the NORCECA Tour with Sarabia/Osuna

SAN JUAN DEL SUR, Nicaragua, May 17, 2026.- Mexico’s Miguel Sarabia and Jorman Osuna claimed the title at the third stop of the NORCECA Men’s Beach Volleyball Tour after defeating Costa Rica’s Julián Araya and Stanley Grant 2-0 (21-14, 21-16) in the final.

This result marks Mexico’s second title of the 2026 season, in which they have also locked in a third-place finish, consolidating their dominance on the circuit and confirming their status as favorites.

At the second stop of the tour, held in Güibia, Dominican Republic, another Mexican duo —Inés Lares and Carlos Ayala— also captured the gold medal after previously winning bronze in Costa Rica.

“This is the group’s fourth gold medal. I think we’ve been working well, and the idea is to maintain the level we’ve had in the region. We needed to defend the gold we won last year in El Salvador. It’s been a great team effort; Ricardo, our coach, is leading the way and we’re training hard with him. We still have several events ahead and we’re taking it step by step, enjoying the moment,” said Sarabia.

Osuna added: “Today we celebrate, but the goal is to stay consistent. One thing that’s working on is our teamwork; it’s all about chemistry and communication.”

In the bronze medal match, El Salvador’s Christopher Guardado and Yoel Guardado defeated Rubén Mora and Dany López 2-1 (19-21, 21-12, 15-11).

In the semifinals, Sarabia/Osuna beat Mora/López in straight sets (21-14, 21-19), while Araya/Grant defeated the Guardado brothers 2-0 (21-16, 21-15).
