Micah Christenson named Most Valuable Player at NORCECA Men’s Continental

CHARLESTON, W.Va., USA (Sept. 10, 2023) – U.S. setter and Team Captain Micah Christenson was named Most Valuable Player of the 2023 NORCECA Senior Men’s Continental Championship after the United States (5-0) won the gold medal at the tournament.

The United States also saw libero Erik Shoji win the Best Receiver award.

Silver medalist Canada had the Best Setter Luke Herr, Best Opposite Arthur Szwarc, Second-Best Spiker Stephen Maar and Second-Best Blocker Danny Demyanenko.

Cuba, which finished third, had the Best Server Miguel Lopez.

Fifth-place Mexico’s libero Hiram Bravo was named Best Libero and Best Digger.

Sixth-place Puerto Rico had outside hitter Tristan Lawrence, who was named Best Spiker and Best Scorer. Antonio Elias was named Best Blocker.
