Mireya Luis offers clinics to more than 200 in Queretaro

 

QUERETARO, Mexico, October 29, 2018 – More than 200 participants among athletes, officers and children from Queretaro attended the volleyball clinics offered by Cuban legend Mireya Luis Hernandez.

 

Luis Hernandez, who participated as special guest in the Sixth Congress of Physical Education and Sport organized by the University of Quretaro from October 16 to 20, shared her experiences in the sport of volleyball for more than 30 years as an athlete and manager.

 

The Cuban native dedicated a chapter of her clinic to the successful career of her coach and mentor Eugenio George, who was recipient of the award as Coach of the XX Century.

 

The three-time Olympic gold medalist, representing NORCECA Confederation, the FIVB and Cuba, also offered master lectures on sport topics and human development.

 

Mireya commented that her participation in the congress was a fruitful experience she plans to continue with other universities of the continent for the development of a better volleyball.
