Mushtaque Mohammed nominated ITO for Tokyo 2020
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, February 21, 2020 – Mushtaque
Mohammed of Trinidad and Tobago, president of both the FIVB and
NORCECA Development Commission, has been nominated as
International Technical Official (ITO) for the upcoming Olympic
Games Tokyo 2020.
Mr. Mohammed, who is the president of the NORCECA’s Caribbean
Zonal Volleyball Association and of the Trinidad and Tobago
Volleyball Federation, performed the same functions in the
Volleyball competitions also in the Olympic Games editions of
London 2012 and Rio 2016.
“Mr. Mohammed is one of the most experienced sport managers we
have within our NORCECA Confederation so we are very glad to
know about his nomination as ITO for the Tokyo 2020 Games,” said
Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of NORCECA. “I am looking
forward to work with him again in the most important multi-sport
competition held every four years.”
Mr. Mohammed joins Andre Trottier of Canada as ITO from NORCECA
nominated for the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Mr. Trottier, a former
beach volleyball referee, will be a referee supervisor.
NORCECA referees nominated for the volleyball tournament are
Denny Cespedes of Dominican Republic Republic, Patricia Rolf of
United States, and Luis Gerardo Macías of Mexico. Also Carlos
Rivera of Puerto Rico and Brigham Beatie of United States, in
beach volleyball. |
