NORCECA Beach Volleyball Kicks Off 2026 Season in Costa Rica
SAN JOSÉ, Costa Rica, April 14, 2026.-
The
2026 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Season is set to officially get
underway in Costa Rica, with the first stage of the NORCECA Beach
Tour scheduled for April 16–20 at La Sabana in San José.
The
opening event marks the beginning of an exciting and extensive
season organized by the NORCECA Confederation, featuring a total of
11 stages of the NORCECA Beach Tour across the region. The calendar
also includes the Under 18 World Championship Qualifier, an Under 23
event, the prestigious Central American and Caribbean Games to be
held in Santo Domingo, and the highly anticipated Olympic Qualifier
in Puerto Rico.
For
the first stage in Costa Rica, teams from 12 different countries are
expected to participate, with a total of 32 teams—16 per gender—set
to compete. Final entries will be confirmed during the preliminary
inquiry scheduled for Thursday, April 16.
Competition will take place from April 17 to 19, bringing three days
of high-level beach volleyball action to La Sabana, one of the
region’s most iconic sporting venues.
This
opening stage sets the tone for what promises to be a dynamic and
competitive season, as teams across NORCECA begin their journey
toward regional success and Olympic qualification. |
