SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, May 25, 2015 – NORCECA Board
of Administration and Executive Committee approved the reports
presented by the different commissions as well as the rotating
competition calendar system through 2018.
During their annual three-day meeting the members of the board
discussed the confederation’s development plan which includes
courses and seminars, itinerant instructors for the different
geographical zones as well as distribution of synthetic playing
surfaces and equipment.
The organizers of the most important regional and world events
in 2015 also made presentations including the FIVB U21 Men’s
World Championship in Tijuana and Mexicali, Mexico and the U20
Women’s FIVB World Championship in Puerto Rico.
The Men’s Pan American Cup will take place in Reno, Nevada in
USA while the Women’s Pan American Cup will be held in Lima,
Peru.
The board also discussed the beach and volleyball tournaments of
the Toronto Pan American Games next July, as well as the
Continental Championships to be played in Mexico.
The representatives of the Caribbean, Eastern Caribbean, Central
America and North Central also commented on the activities
within their zones while Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of
NORCECA, presented his activities report corresponding to 2014.
Marte Hoffiz also presented an updated report of the
organization of the NORCECA Congress to be held in Punta Cana
next October and informed about the candidatures submitted by
the National Federations to the different commissions. |
