NORCECA Men’s and Women’s International League Final Four rescheduled

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, March 30, 2020 – The NORCECA Men’s and Women’s International League Final Four Qualification Tournaments have been rescheduled due to the situation generated by the Coronavirus Covid-19 and the ongoing traveling restrictions.

NORCECA informed all National Federations and teams involved about the postponement of the qualifiers to the FIVB Challenger Cups to the 2021 Volleyball Nations League (VNL).

The men’s event, originally programmed to be played in Havana, Cuba from May 27 to June 1, has been rescheduled for July 22-27 in the Cuban capital.

The other teams joining Cuba for the round-robin tournament are Dominican Republic, Mexico and Puerto Rico.

The women’s tournament was rescheduled in Puerto Rico from July 29 to August 3 with the host city to be announced later. The participants in the event are: Cuba, Mexico, Trinidad & Tobago and Puerto Rico. Originally was programmed from May 13-18.

The circular letter informs that “the health and safety of our athletes, referees, officials and fans is first priority, one that we must take care.”
