NORCECA National Federations are ready for FIVB Congress
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, January 29, 2021 -The
National Federations and Territories under the umbrella of the
NORCECA Volleyball Confederation eagerly await the FIVB World
Congress that will be held virtually on February 5, 6 and 7.
On January 27, all but three of the affiliated institutions took
part in a workshop organized by FIVB in preparation of the
congress utilizing the platforms ZOOM and LUMI to see the
presentations and voting system, respectively.
All these institutions have undergone the experience of the
NORCECA Congress also held virtually last year and in which they
had the opportunity to participate actively in all discussions
and elections.
Likewise, during 2020, the zonal associations have held their
assemblies virtually due to current travel restrictions due to
the COVID-19 pandemic and the risks of contagion.
The agenda of the 36th FIVB World Congress has been circulated
among all National Federations and it includes:
Presentation of the President's Report, legal presentation,
financial report, appointment of the members of the Ethics
Panel, choice of gender in minority, election of the Board of
Directors, proposals of the Rules Committee.
Also, reports from the FIVB Commissions and the Continental
Confederations, update of future FIVB events, affiliations,
resignations and expulsions, place and date of the next congress
in the Netherlands in 2022, and closing of the Congress by the
President of the FIVB. |
