NORCECA President calls for Optimism and Courage

To All National Federations and Regional Members:

There is an old saying that goes “if you stumble and don’t fall, then you will move some steps forward.”

The year 2020 has represented a rocky road for all humanity and sport has not escaped that painful reality with so many competitions canceled to protect the health of athletes, coaches and fans.

Despite all the difficulties and unwanted circumstances, we have been able to stick together in anticipation of the return to normalcy in the shortest possible time.

The night is never darker than when it is about to dawn and armed with faith and confidence in the near future, I invite you all to look to the coming year with optimism and courage.

For sure, we will be able to overcome all obstacles, smile and hug each other again. And our athletes, the main reason for our existence, will return to the competition halls and the beaches to compete for victories.

Remember that after the storm comes the calm and after an ending there is always new beginning.

May sport be the vehicle that leads the world back to joy!
