NORCECA and FEVOCHI reach a development agreement ahead of Santiago 2023

CALI, Colombia, November 27, 2021.- NORCECA President Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz, held a meeting with Cecilia Pérez Jara, Sports Minister of Chile and Jorge Pino, current President of Chile’s National Volleyball Federation (FEVOCHI) on the occasion of the I Junior Pan American Games Cali-Valle 2021.

The meeting was to discuss several matters of coordination and shaping the next Pan American Games to be held in the City of Santiago, Chile in 2023, reaching an agreement between NORCECA and FEVOCHI in which for the next two years all Chilean national teams, men and women, of all age-groups U18, U19, U20, U23 and Senior will compete in NORCECA annual competitions, this to contribute with the development and preparation of their athletes ahead of the Pan American Games Santiago 2023.

The Minister of Sports of Chile assured she will grant the teams with the necessary essentials for them to travel to the hosting countries of NORCECA’s competitions.

“This initiative is a NORCECA contribution to the National Volleyball Federation of Chile to prepare their athletes for this great event where also our delegations will take part” indicate Marte Hoffiz.

Chile is currently playing the men’s volleyball tournament of the I Junior Pan American Games, event that grants two direct tickets to the Pan American Games Santiago 2023, one for the top-ranked team of NORCECA and one for the top-ranked team of the South American Confederation.
