CALI, Colombia, December 4, 2021.- NORCECA
President Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz confirmed that
Dominican Republic and Mexico in both genders
qualified for the Pan American Games to be held
in Santiago, Chile in 2023.
According to regulations at the I Junior Pan
American Games Cali-Valle 2021 that is close to
an end, NORCECA announced the one team per
gender qualified for Santiago 2023 via the first
edition of the Junior Pan Am Games as Dominican
Republic in the men and Mexico in the women’s
field.
During the recent Pan American Cups Final Six
held in past September in Santo Domingo, Mexico
in men and Dominican Republic in women were
crowned champions winning a berth to the Pan
American Games to be held in Santiago de Chile
2023, therefore the tickets available for
NORCECA in Cali went to Dominican Republic in
men and Mexico in women respectively.
Marte Hoffiz explained that the qualification
process for Santiago 2023 started with the Pan
American Cups and will continue next year,
granting two more spots per gender for NORCECA
“our Confederation has four spots per gender
available for the Santiago Games, and both the
Dominican and Mexican National Volleyball
Federations have been informed that they must
complete the entire qualification process,
competing in every tournament to conserve their
places”. |
