SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, February 8, 2016 –Instructor
Justo Morales of Cuba has visited 85 cities in the seven Central
American countries over the past six years as part of the
technical assistance provided by the NORCECA Confederation to
National Federations Category I and II.
Morales presented a full report of activities during the annual
meeting of the NORCECA Development Commission held in Santo
Domingo on Monday.
The duties of Morales go from volleyball for children to
training national teams of volleyball and beach volleyball.
Reports on activities by the instructors in CAZOVA and ECVA
zones were also presented in the one-day meeting.
Also, a four-year program named “Impact Plan” designated to
develop volleyball and beach volleyball within NORCECA
Confederation was submitted by the NORCECA Regional Development
Center in Dominican Republic.
Mushtaque Mohammed, president of the commission, made a
summarized report on the topics discussed at the recent FIVB
Development Commission meeting including the 9 Strategic Goals
intended to make volleyball one of the most popular disciplines
in the world.
The Development Centers in Dominican Republic and Tijuana,
Mexico also made presentations which included the courses and
seminars carried out in 2015 and their working plans for 2016.
At the end of the session Francisco Cruz made a dissertation on
the Model of Success for the National Federation Programs based
on three basic principles: Will, Power and Knowledge.
The discourse of Cruz was based on his experience working with
the national women teams of Dominican Republic and Trinidad &
Tobago. |
