NORCECA kicks off Christmas season with lighting of tree

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, November 18, 2016 – The holiday season kicked off at NORCECA headquarters in Santo Domingo with the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony held on Thursday morning with the participation of all staff members of the institution.

Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of NORCECA, gave a brief speech highlighting the spirit of the Christmas festivities and the message of union and love that brings the season.

“It is Christmas time again and the occasion is conducive to wish everyone peace and prosperity for your respective families,” Marte Hoffiz said. “It is a season to plan, project goals and face the future with optimism and faith.”

“It is a time of happiness and forgiveness and to cement friendships and to promote union and fraternity,” he added.

“Finally, I want to extend this brief message to the volleyball family all over the world, especially to all members of the volleyball community within NORCECA Confederation,” Marte Hoffiz concluded.
