Naranjito and Trujillo Alto winners in PR

NARANJITO, Puerto Rico, January 27, 2019 – Four players scored in double figures as Changas of Naranjito obtained their second victory of Puerto Rican Women’s Volleyball season by defeating Polluelas of Aibonito in straight sets 25-20, 25-16, 25-19.

The match was on national television via Wapa Deportes.

Paola Rivera led the winners with 15 points followed by Andrea Rangel with 13 and Legna Hernández and Naomi Santos each with 10. For Polluelas, Neira Ortiz had 11 points.

The Changas have now six points (2-0) while Polluelas are winless (0-2) with zero points.

In Trujillo Alto, the home team Amazonas achieved their first win of the season with a 3-1 (19-25, 25-19, 25-18, 26-24) decision over Valencianas of Juncos.

Aida Bauza was the best of Amazonas with 16 points, Adriana Viña added 11 and Alba Hernández contributed 10. For Valencianas, Paulina Prieto had a match-high 33 points.

Trujillo Alto got their first three points of the season (1-1) while Juncos has a 0-2 record without points.
