National Coaches Course concludes in Dominican Republic
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, May 7, 2019 – The National
Course of Coaches that gathered together close to 100 of
participants hailing from all over the Dominican Republic
concluded on May 5 with satisfactory results.
The four-day course was carried from May 2 to 5 at the NORCECA/FIVB
Regional Development Center based in Santo Domingo with
practical and theoretical sessions conducted by four
accomplished instructors with plenty experience.
Marcos Kwiek of Brazil, Ariel Sainz of Cuba, Alexander Gutierrez
of Venezuela and Wilson Sánchez of Dominican Republic were the
instructors selected for this course.
“We are satisfied with the record number of participants which
reflects the expansion of volleyball in the country as well as
with the results of the course and the proactive participation
of the coaches,” said Nelson Ramírez, director of the center.
Pedro Luis Garcia was the participant who received the highest
notes and received a special recognition during the closing
ceremony.
The course was sponsored by NORCECA Confederation, the Ministry
of Sports and Recreation, the Dominican Olympic Committee and
the Physical Education Institute.
Ramírez announced a national refereeing course to be carried
this week. |
