National Referee Course in Dominican Republic

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, May 10, 2019 – Ninety participants from all over the country are registered in the national course for referees, line-judges and scorers of volleyball.

The course is organized by the NORCECA/FIVB Regional Development Center in the Dominican Republic under the direction of Nelson Ramirez.

The instructors of the course are José Ramón Perez Vento of Cuba, Roy Velez of Puerto Rico, Salvador Bautista and Bienvenido Mateo of Dominican Republic.

The course began on May 9 and extends until May 11 with practical and theoretical sessions.

Luis Mejía Oviedo, president of the Dominican Olympic Committee attended the opening ceremony. He was accompanied by the members of the executive committee of the Dominican Volleyball Federation.
