Neven Ilic Re-elected President of Panam Sports
ASUNCIÓN, Paraguay, October 2, 2024.- On the first day of the 62nd Panam
Sports General Assembly, the election for President for the 2024-2028
term took place. The candidates were the current President of the
Organization, Neven Ilic, and the second Vice President of Panam Sports,
Keith Joseph.
The vote was held shortly after 5 p.m. (Paraguay time), with the current
Panam Sports President, Neven Ilic, emerging victorious with a total of
37 votes. Keith Joseph received 16 votes. Thus, Neven Ilic will lead
Panam Sports for the next four years in his third consecutive term as
President.
“I want to thank everyone who supported me, for allowing me to finish
this project. These elections have ended, and I can say that we are a
great team. Everyone is part of this project. Of course, I also thank my
friend Keith Joseph. We will continue working to ensure that the
Americas remain a stellar continent”, said Panam Sports President Neven
Ilic after the vote.
However, the election for President was not the only item on the agenda
at the Pan American Sports Organization Assembly. Vice Presidents and
members of the new Executive Committee were also elected.
As a result, Sarah Hirshland (USA), Veda Bruno Victor (Grenada), and
Camilo Pérez (Paraguay) were elected Vice Presidents in their respective
groups.
