Marcela Roa, Libero of Nicaragua:
“It is my first time and it is an honor to be in
this team and represent Nicaragua, it was
something very nice to debut with the national
team. At the beginning there was a bit of nerves,
because I had not played in the two previous
games, but my teammates supported me and gave me
confidence”.
Claudia Noguera, captain of
Nicaragua: “We had a good role in all three
games, today the rhythm slowed a little, it
affected us in the second set, but then we got
up and resumed our rhythm of play. We never
underestimate the rivals we face and what we
always do is to focus on staying on our goal,
which is to be on the podium”.
René Quintana, Nicaraguan coach:
“For us, all matches are like finals, there is
no small rival and we will always try to get the
result. Today the development of the game gave
us the opportunity to put in the rookie players”.
"Tomorrow is a very strong match,
we needed to give rest to some players and
others who entered due to the injury of their
teammates, such as libero Marcela Roa (18 years
old), who debuted in a major tournament and did
very well."
Marvin Ulloa, Honduras coach:
“Nicaragua played us a good game, they have a
good team, they began to give us a chance with a
fairly comfortable serve, but their blocking is
high and they didn't give us a chance ... then
they squeezed us with the service and there we
had problems. Now Panama is coming to us and we
believe we can have a good result”.
