Nicaragua won 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-11, 25-19)
against Belize, in the penultimate game of the
seventh day of the V Women's U23 Championship of
Afecavol.
Gilmary Smith with 19 points was the top scorer
of the match leading Nicaragua to its third win
for three losses. Massiel Brenes contributed 11
points and 9 from Brittany Forbes.
For Belize, which was 1-5, Gareth Bruce had 17
points and 12 from Khaya Gordon, who left part
of the game with an ankle injury.
Nicaragua was better in attack 35-30, in
blocking 14-12 and in service 6-5, taking
advantage of 43 points due to the opponent's
errors, for 24 committed. |
