intensity as the beginning, but Panama couldn’t keep up with
Nicaragua’s rhythm, who took a six point advantage difficult to
overcome.

on finding their defects to finish winning” said captain Jonny
Zeledon of Nicaragua.
Panama’s captain Jose Anguizola said “Nicaragua was a worthy
opponent, we couldn’t concentrate on our performance, and I
really don’t know what happened to us”.
Coach Osman Hernandez of Nicaragua said “I’ve been saying that
our captain, Jonny, wasn’t performing to his maximum potential
and today he played with better rhythm, with strong kills. Our
serves were very effective; our strategy was set because we were
prepared to face Panama”.
Marco Perez coach of Panama “the team believed that only Costa
Rica and Guatemala were the ones to beat; they thought Nicaragua
was an easy opponent so they were relaxed.
We lacked the energy and attitude that Nicaragua had”. |
