Nicaragua finishes in seventh place
MONTERREY, Mexico, March 24, 2017 – Nicaragua earned its first
win in U19 Boys’ Pan American Cup to finish in seventh place.
The Nicaraguan team defeated Jamaica by scores of 18-25, 25-20,
16-25, 25-21 and 16-14 in the classification round for places
7th to 9th, in one hour and 48 minutes of game time.
Jonny Zeledon topped with 26 points, while Byron Hernandez
scored 18 for the Central American team.
For Jamaica, Shavar James closed with 22 units and Devounte
Bennet with 13. Both squads ended their participarion in the
tournament that concluded on Saturday at “Nuevo Leon” Gym. |
