Nicaragua prevailed over
Panama with a huge margin in attacks
BELIZE CITY, Belize, July
18, 2023.- Nicaragua prevailed over Panamá 3-0
(25-16/25-17/25-13) with a huge 38 to 18 margin in attacks, a difference
of 20 points to earn their third win in a row to start the third day at
the Women’s U19 AFECAVOL Central American Championship.
Nicaragua’s superiority in
attacks was overwhelming thanks to its leading scorers, middle blocker María
Cecilia Torrez with 13 points, 8 on kills, opposite hitter María Grace
Zeledon with 13 points from attacks and outside hitter and team captain
Brisa Pérez with 12 points, including 9 attacks. con
