Nicaragua represented at two beach world championships
MANAGUA, Nicaragua, July 10, 2014 – Seven teams will represent
Nicaragua at several international beach volleyball
competitions, including two age-group FIVB World Championships.
The teams received the national flag of Nicaragua during a
ceremony held at the premises of he Nicaraguan Olympic Committee
and presided over by Bertha Cuadra, President of the Nicaraguan
Volleyball National Federation.
Miguel Lopez and Ruben Mora will be defending the title won in
the last two U21 Men’s Central American Beach Volleyball
Championship.
The Central American Senior Championship and the U21
Championship will take place in El Salvador from July 16-21 with
Nicaragua represented by five pairs.
Lopez/Mora and Osiris Juarez and Socorro Lopez will represent
Nicaragua at the FIVB U21 World Championship in Lanarka, Cyprus
at the end of the month. Luis and Denis Lopez in the boys’
category and Camila Robelo and Katerine Montealto in the girls
will participate in the FIVB U19 World Championship in Porto,
Portugal.
Henry Hernández and Gerald Umaña in the men’s division and Elia
Machado and Jackeline Toruño in the women’s segment will compete
at the Senior Central American Championship. |
