Nicaragua upsets Guatemala, Costa Rica and El Salvador win

BELIZE CITY, Belize, July 20, 2017 – Nicaragua edged Guatemala 3-2 (16-25, 25-23, 15-25, 25-22, 16-14) as the XVII U20 Women’s Volleyball Championship continued on Thursday.

Dalia Conto led Nicaragua with 19 points, while Maria Campos added 11 and Massiel Brenes contributed 9. Guatemala’s Paola Alvarado had a match-high 21 points followed by Kimberli Garcia with 16 and María Juarez with 13.

Nicaragua has a 2-1 record and Guatemala dropped to 1-1.

El Salvador vs Panamá

El Salvador defeated Panama 3-1 (20-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-15) in the fifth match of the second day of actions. The Salvadorans have a 1-2 mark while Panama is winless in three matches.

Adriana Dubón scored 13 points and Fabiola Vargas had 10 for El Salvador. Nayoisse Campbell had 11 por Panama.

Costa Rica vs Belize
