SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador, October 10, 2021-
Nicaragua continues to dominate the Men's
Central American Beach Volleyball by claiming
the gold and silver medals, while Guatemala won
the bronze in the XX Central American Beach
Volleyball Major Championship.
The young Denis López and Jefferson Cascante,
won 2-0 (21-17, 21-19) against Dany López and
Rubén Mora, who were looking for their third
consecutive title, but could not stop the push
of López/Cascante, who took the lead in the two
sets and did not lower the dominance.
“There are no words to describe this emotion for
me, grateful to God and my coach Erasmo Palomo.
We know the level we have, although we don't
have much experience in this category,”said
Denis López.
Meanwhile, Cascante pointed out that “I am very
excited, Denis and I did a good job, throughout
the Championship, beating couples 1 from
Guatemala, Costa Rica and El Salvador… and we
finished against Nicaragua, which was the
champion. It is my first time in a major
tournament and thank God things turned out well”.
Andy Leonardo/Luis García, from Guatemala, took
the bronze medal by defeating El Salvador 1 2-1
(14-21, 30-28, 15-9) with Franklin Flores and
