Nicole Fawcett MVP of XII Pan Am Cup
LIMA, Peru, June 16 2013- United States’ Nicole Fawcett earned
the honors as Most Valuable Player of the XII Movistar Women’s
Pan American Cup.
The emerging American star received her trophies at the closing
ceremony of the event chaired by Cristobal Marte Hoffiz,
president of NORCECA Confederation and Pan American Union,
Rafael Lloreda, president of the South American Confederation
and Luis Linares, president of the Peruvian Volleyball
Federation.
Fawcett also was awarded as Best Server, while teammates Kyla
Banwarth and Megan Hodge were recipients of the honors as Best
Receiver and Best Spiker, respectively.
USA topped the honors with four nominations while Argentina took
three awards with Lucia Gaido (Best Libero and Best Defense) and
Yahel Castiglione (Best Setter).
Canada's Jamie Thibeault was selected as Best Blocker and
Mexican Samantha Bricio was the Top Scorer of the tournament. |
