Guillermo Orduna, Coach of Argentina:
“We didn’t play well today, I think we need to improve our
concentration even though the girls never went out of the game
and Little by Little were getting comfortable on the court and
that is important. Tomorrow we play against Venezuela and we
will be improving.”
Emilce Sosa, Captain of Argentina:
“We are coming from playing an international competition and it
is not easy to adjust to a new ball. Mexico complicated things
for us in the third set with their serves, but we came to win
and knew how to adjust to score the triumph.”
Ricardo Naranjo, Coach of Mexico:
“I think that being this match the first international one for
many of the players, it was a fair game for us. We have to
improve some tactical points in order to make the difference in
the outcome.”
Andrea Rangel, Captain of Mexico:
“I think we showed a lot of maturity today and also the work as
a team. We know we will be improving with every match and that
is the goal, to achieve growth, especially for the younger
players as we prepare the team for the long term.”
In Sunday’s matches, Argentina meets Venezuela while Mexico
faces Puerto Rico. |
