Seminar for Setters concludes in Antigua
St. John's, Antigua & Barbuda, October 11, 2012 – An
International Technical Seminar for Setters was held in Antigua
& Barbuda October 7 to 10. The sessions ended with a closing
ceremony on Wednesday.
A total of 27 students received their FIVB certificate. The
participants came from 16 different countries, including Haiti,
Jamaica, St. Lucia, Aruba, Trinidad & Tobago, Suriname, St.
Eustatius, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Vincent Anguilla, the
British Virgin Islands, Dominica, St. Kitts, French St. Martin,
and Antigua & Barbuda.
The course forms part of the development plan of NORCECA
Confederation which sponsored the participation of 18 people who
now can transmit their knowledge in their respective countries.
The closing ceremony was attended by Winston Williams,
representing the Ministry of Sport, Wibur Harrigan, president of
the Antigua & Barbuda Volleyball Association, Tony Westman, FIVB
instructor, and Yohanna Mota Moreno representing the Regional
Development Volleyball Centre in Dominican Republic and NORCECA
Confederation.
