Official announcement of the seventh edition of the Punta Cana Beach Volleyball Classic

SANTO DOMINGO, September 23, 2023 - Once again, Los Corales Beach will host the seventh edition of the Punta Cana Beach Volleyball Classic, which is part of the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour, to take place from September 28th to October 1st.

The event, endorsed by the Dominican Volleyball Federation (Fedovoli), will bring together athletes from 14 countries who are aiming to earn ranking points for the NORCECA Tour 2023.

For the seventh consecutive year, Mr. Ernesto Veloz, president of ASOLESTE, will lead the organizing committee, which includes Félix Martínez, the director of sports from the Municipality of Verón; Domingo Jiménez, director of Televisión del Este, and Henry Puello, technical director of Fedovoli.

“The Punta Cana Beach Volleyball Classic is special because it grants doubles the points awarded in the regular stages of the circuit. Countries will come with their full arsenal, both in the men’s and women’s divisions”, said Anglada, who is the technical vice president of the Dominican Volleyball Federation (Fedovoli).

Among the confirmed countries are the United States, Virgin Islands, Canada, Cayman Islands, Grenada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Dominica, Aruba, St. Kitts and Nevis, Dominican Republic, among others.

The event organized by the Dominican Foundation for Sports Tourism, Marketing Sport Event, has the support of the NORCECA Confederation, the Municipality of Verón, ASOLESTE, among others.

The Punta Cana Beach Volleyball Classic has been held since 2015 in the Punta Cana area, bringing together the most prominent beach volleyball pairs from the North, Central America, and the Caribbean.
