Opening Ceremony of the Continental Beach Volleyball
Referees Course
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, November 20, 2019 –
Sixteen participants from Belize, Canada, Cuba, Guatemala,
Mexico, Nicaragua, United States, St. Kitts and the
Dominican Republic are registered in the Continental Course
for Beach Volleyball Referees that opened on Wednesday at
the NORCECA/FIVB Regional Volleyball Development Center in
the Dominican Republic.
The course instructors are André Tottier of Canada and
Miguel Ramirez of Mexico concludes on Sunday 24 with the
presentation of certificates to participants.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Mr. Ramon García
President of the Dominican Volleyball Federation, which
expressed his pleasure with the celebration of this
important course in the Dominican Republic, while Mrs.
Indhira Ramirez Director of the Beach Volleyball Department
of Confederation NORCECA, on behalf of president Cristobal
Marte Hoffiz, said that NORCECA is very satisfied with the
celebration of this instructional activity that benefits the
development of beach volleyball in NORCECA while
highlighting the participation of 5 women in the course.
Also, Mr. Bernardo Mesa, national technical director of the
Ministry of Sports, congratulated the initiative of the
Development Center for the successful organization of this
course; Like the Director of the course, Andre Trottier said
he was very satisfied with the excellent organization of the
Development Center of the Dominican Republic.
Also present at the ceremony were Lic. Angel Rivas Vice
President of the Dominican Volleyball Federation, José Luis
Ramirez, treasurer of the COD, Bienvenido Mateo Official of
Statistics of the NORCECA Confederation.
