Organization of the NORCECA Congress enters final stage
TIJUANA, Mexico, October 28, 2013 – The organization of the XXII
NORCECA Congress, to be held from November 2-3 entered in the
final phase when the advanced staff of NORCECA and the
supporting group of the Baja California Sports and Physical
Education Institute held a joint meeting on Monday.
The meeting was chaired by Saul Castro Verdugo, who doubles up
as First Executive Vice President of NORCECA and Executive
Director of the Baja California Sports and Physical Education
Institute.
During the exchange, both parts first reviewed the calendar of
arrivals and departures of all the dignitaries invited to the
Congress as well as all the representatives of the 41 National
Federations and Territories affiliated to the NORCECA
Confederation.
They also checked different aspects like transportation,
security, attaches, media, protocol, social activities,
translations and technology.
The dignitaries are headed by Dr. Ary Da Silva Graca Filho, FIVB
President, Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, First Executive Vice
President of FIVB and President of NORCECA and Dr. Saleh Bin
Nasser, Dr. Amr Elwani, and Dr. Rafael Lloreda Currea, President
of the Asian, African and South American Volleyball
Confederations, respectively.
Then, they proceeded to check the agenda of the meetings,
including that of the Executive Committee and Board of
Administration to take place on October 31 and the Development
Seminar for National Federations Category I and II to be
addressed on November 1.
After the conclusion of the meeting held at the headquarters of
the sport institute, the directors of the different areas
visited the premises of the Hotel Grand Tijuana, the official
site of the congress.
First, they installed the office of the NORCECA working group
and then made an inspection to all the meeting rooms to be
utilized during the event. |
