SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, September 4,
2022 – The official Opening Ceremony of the
NORCECA Final Six Women’s Tournament began with
a parade of the teams around the playing court
of the National Volleyball Palace Ricardo
Arias.
It was presided over by Mr. Cristobal Marte
Hoffiz, president of NORCECA and also First
Executive Vice President of FIVB who was joined
by the Minister of Sports Francisco Camacho ,the
president of Dominican Olympic Committee,
Antonio Acosta, and the president of the
Dominican Federation, Ramon García.
Also present were Mr. Luis Mejía Oviedo,
president of Caribe Centro Sports Organization
and Dr. Jose Joaquin Puello former president of
DOC and the CACSO Sports Organization
now CCSO.
Marte Hoffiz thanked Banco of Reservas for being
the main sponsor of the competition, which was
represented over by the Administrative Vice
President Jose Manuel Almonte.
Among the celebrities supporting the competition
who attended the first day of action was TV Star
Alicia Ortega who received the recognition by
Marte Hoffiz. |
