Pepper deserved a medal for his show

CHATEAUGUAY, Canada, June 2, 2019 – Pepper the mascot deserved a special medal after his terrific all-around performance during the weekend at the Sportplex in Chateauguay where the female team of Canada won a ticket to qualification for the FIVB Volleyball Nations League following a straight-set victory over Puerto Rico.

The friendly character, who resembles the polar bear that inhabits the northern regions of Canada, was crowd pleaser for the three days of the competition.

“The kids loved him”, said Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of NORCECA, “He did a lot of things to keep the people happy with his acting and everything. I really want to congratulate the organizers for having this refreshing character working the crowd the whole weekend”

Pepper could be seen dancing during the breaks of the matches, rooting for the home team in the stands next to young fans, giving away t-shirts of the event, welcoming the fans and making everything possible for the people to have a good time while watching quality volleyball.
