Coraima Gomez, one of the top scorers of Peru: “The results were
not the expected and there is a lot of work to be done. Tonight
the coach gave me the chance and I didn’t want to waste it. The
cup represented a step backward for us so now we need to start
coming back.”
Mauro Marasciulo, coach of Peru: “Today we faced a complicated
situation at the emotional level because they had to recover
from losing the qualification that was almost in our hands.
Today we made mistakes in the key moments to close the game but
the most important thing is that we won. Now we have to adjust a
lot of things to continue improving.”
Dulce Carranza, captain of Mexico: “The results are not the
desirable but the cup has helped us to work more as a group and
catch the rhythm ahead of the Grand Prix at home from June 26 to
28.”
Jorge Miguel Azair, coach of Mexico: “We used tactical services
combining them to create some problems to Peru. I am satisfied
and in calm. The tournament helped us in our preparation for the
Grand Prix and the most important thing is that we managed to
stay in next year’s event.” |
