Mauro Marasciulo, coach of Peru:
“We knew that Argentina was coming with a better rhythm than us
after facing more difficult opponents like Cuba and Dominican
Republic. Now we have to concentrate in the match of Saturday
that I think will be decisive for the ticket to the world
championship.”
Angela Leyva, captain of Peru:
“We have to congratulate the team’s effort and the support from
the fans at Manuel Bonilla Coliseum. We worked together and got
the things going. Here we don’t have individual players, it was
the effort and contribution from everyone what took us the
victory.”
Guillermo Orduna, coach of Argentina:
“It was a good match and for moments it was evident the fatigue
from the previous matches. It was a pretty evened match and it
could have gone either way but our team gas showed that is ready
to play until the final and we will go out to win the rest of
our matches.”
Candelaria Herrera, player of Argentina:
“It was an intense match and we knew that Peru was going to be
tough. The difference was in our mistakes but hopefully we will
face Peru in the final. We have come here to give all to get our
goals, qualify to the world championship and to win this
tournament.” |
