Pinkin Rally in Caguas and Tighten the LVSF Race for the Top

CAGUAS, Puerto Rico, February 7, 2026.- The fourth week of action in the Women’s Superior Volleyball League (LVSF) closed with victories for the Pinkin de Corozal, the Cangrejeras de Santurce, and the Leonas de Ponce in a matchday full of intensity and drama.

At Coliseo Roger Mendoza Vidal in Caguas, the Pinkin de Corozal came from behind to steal a 3-2 (19-25, 21-25, 25-18, 26-24, 15-13) victory over the Criollas de Caguas, handing them their third loss of the season and second straight. With the result, Corozal earned two points and Caguas one.

With the match tied at two sets apiece, Corozal took a 10-6 lead in the decisive set thanks to a block on Alexandra Sczech and a net violation by the Criollas.

Caguas responded with a 4-1 run that included a block by Génesis Collazo on Lindsay Krause to tie the score at 11, but the Pinkin held off the push and sealed the set 15-13 after an attacking error by Valeria Flores.

Offensively for Corozal, Jordan Iliff led with 24 points, followed by Lindsay Krause with 20 and Ivania Ortiz with 14.

For Caguas, Jenaisya Moore scored 12 points, Alexandra Sczech added 11, and Diana Reyes contributed 10.

With the win, Corozal improves to 5-3 with 15 points, remaining in second place. Caguas stays atop the standings at 6-3 with 17 points.

Santurce Remains Undefeated

In another match, the Cangrejeras de Santurce claimed their fifth win in as many outings by defeating the Atenienses de Manatí 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-15).

Santurce collected the three available points to solidify third place at 5-0 with 14 points. Manatí failed to score points and drops to 2-6 with 10 points, falling to fourth place.

Leonas Survive in Five Sets

At Salvador Dijols court, the Leonas de Ponce defeated the Valencianas de Juncos in five sets, 20-25, 25-13, 25-18, 28-30, 15-13.

Ponce earned two points to remain alone in fifth place with a 3-5 record and 7 points.

The Valencianas picked up one point in the loss and returned to the bottom of the standings at 2-6 with 6 points.

LVSF action continues Monday, February 9, when the Cangrejeras de Santurce hosts the Valencianas de Juncos at Roberto Clemente Coliseum starting at 8:12 p.m.
