Plantinga and Nusbaum open competition off the right foot

LA PAZ, Mexico, April 20, 2018 - Michael Plantinga and Aaron Nusbaum faced few difficulties in their first day of competition of the Norceca Beach Volleyball Circuit second stop that was officially opened at the Harbourside Kiosko Beach in this city.

The Canadian duo cruised through their first two matches by grabbing a 2-0 victories over Mexicans Juan Jesus Espinoza and Luis Gerardo Bojorquez 2-0 (21-16, 21-16) and against Nathan Dack and Jesse Parham of Cayman Islands in straight sets 21-5 and 21-5 in Pool B.

The other Canadian players who are taking part in the tournament Jake MacNeil and Gabriel Burlacu won their match in Pool A as they defeated Ranciato Jeffers and Shawn Seabrookes of Saint Kitts and Nevis 2-0 (21-18, 21-8).

Meanwhile Josue Gaxiola and Jose Cardenas of Mexico-A also won against Jeffers and Seabrookes 2-0 (21-13, 21-14). One of the best performances of the beginning of this tournament was by Dominicans Victor Castillo and Alesandre Jeambatis also in Pool B. They clinched two victories, one against Nathan Dack and Jesse Parham by 2-0 (21-11, 21-11) and the second over Bojorquez and Espinoza 2-0 (21-18, 21-18).
