Lodz, Poland, October 5, 2022.- After losing to
Serbia, the Polish team won its first victory in
Phase 2 of the Women's Volleyball World
Championship.
The Poles needed only three sets to beat the
mighty United States team 3-0 (25-23, 25-18,
25-20) and put their record at 1-1 at this stage
of the Championship.
For Poland Magdalena Stysiak had 19 points while
Kamila Witkowska and Olivia Rozanski contributed
9 points respectively. For the United States,
the best was Andrea Drews with 12 points
followed by Haleigh Washington added 8.
The Americans play again this October 7 when
they will face the team from Turkey. |
