Postseason Positions Set for the LVSM 

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, October 21, 2024.- The final positions for the Men’s Superior Volleyball League (LVSM) of Puerto Rico have been determined for the Quarterfinals, which begin on Wednesday, October 23. The Quarterfinals will feature the 8 teams that qualified from the Regular Series, divided into four exciting matchups. 

Series A will consist of the team that finished first in the Metro Section and the team that finished fourth in the Island Section: METS DE GUAYNABO VS. INDIOS DE MAYAGÜEZ. 

Series B will be composed of the team that finished second in the Metro Section and the one that finished third in the Island Section: CHANGOS DE NARANJITO VS. GIGANTES DE ADJUNTAS. 

Series C will feature the team that finished first in the Island Section and the team that finished fourth in the Metro Section: CARIBES DE SAN SEBASTIÁN VS. GIGANTES DE CAROLINA. 

Series D will consist of the team that finished second in the Island Section and the one that finished third in the Metro Section: CAFETEROS DE YAUCO VS. PLATANEROS DE COROZAL. 

The Quarterfinal Series will be played in a best-of-five format, with the first team winning three games advancing. The teams in the 1st position in Series A and C, and the teams in the 2nd position in Series B and D, will have home-court advantage. 

In this phase, the points system will not be used, instead, it will be based on wins and losses.

Mayagüez at Guaynabo (8 pm) 

Adjuntas at Naranjito (8 pm) 

Thursday, October 24: 

Corozal at Yauco (8 pm) 

Friday, October 25:

Guaynabo at Mayagüez (8 pm) 

Carolina at San Sebastián (8 pm) 

Naranjito at Adjuntas (8 pm) 

Saturday, October 26:

Yauco at Corozal (8 pm) at the “Gelito” Ortega Coliseum 

Sunday, October 27:

Mayagüez at Guaynabo (5 pm) 

Adjuntas at Naranjito (6 pm) 

San Sebastián at Carolina (6 pm)
