President Medina congratulates Dominican Republic Team 

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, October 18, 2017 – The President of the Dominican Republic H.E. Danilo Medina Sánchez has joined his compatriots in celebrating the triumph attained by the Dominican Women’s Volleyball Team that earned a spot in next year’s FIVB Women’s World Championship in Japan.

In a letter to Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of the Dominican Female Program, President Medina Sánchez stated that “he wants to join the overflowing joy of our national team of volleyball that won the gold medal at the Qualification Tournament in front of a massive crowd.”

He added that he wants “to transmit my warmest congratulations to each one of the members of the team as well as the technical staff that participated in this new triumph which elevates even more the feeling of pride experienced by the Dominican people in general.”

He continued expressing that this new triumph means they are qualified to the world championship consolidating the much deserved title of “Queens of the Caribbean”.
