SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, June 25, 2015 – The President
of the Dominican Republic H.E. Danilo Medina have sent a
congratulation message to the women’s volleyball national team
for the silver medal attained at the XIV Pan American Cup in
Peru, and also to athlete Brenda Castillo for her individual
accomplishments.
In separate letters to Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of the
women’s volleyball program of the Dominican Republic Federation,
and the player Castillo, Medina expressed his joy for the
achievements.
“We want to salute, through your person, the outstanding effort
and competitive spirit shown once again on court,” Medina wrote.
“On behalf of the government and personally we encourage you to
continue with your sustainable battle to occupy a privileged
place in volleyball at world level,” he added.
“We can assure that you always will count with our support and
the admiration of a nation that follows with interest and
emotions your brilliant performances.”
In his letter to Castillo, the Dominican president mentions the
awards she received as best defender, best receiver and best
libero of the competition.
“We are very proud with your selection which motivates this
congratulation on behalf of the government.” |
