President Medina congratulates Dominican Team

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, July 20, 2018 – The President of the Dominican Republic, H.E. Danilo Medina congratulated the women’s national team of his country for winning the silver medal at the XVII Pan American Cup after an exciting battle with the eventual winners the United States.

In a letter addressed to Cristobal Marte Hoffiz as president of the Female Program of the Dominican Volleyball Federation, President Medina expressed “I am pleased to congratulate, on behalf of the government and on my own behalf, our national women's volleyball team for the silver medal obtained at the XVII Copa Viva Panamericana.”

The Dominican president added: “Through you I want to greet and congratulate each of the girls for the effort deployed in this competition.”

He finally sent special greetings to player Brenda Castillo for her outstanding performance that made her winner of several recognitions at the awarding ceremony.

“I entrust you to convey our special congratulations to Brenda Castillo, who was selected as the best defender, best receiver and best libero of the tournament.”
