President Medina congratulates U23 Dominican Team

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 24, 2018 – The president of the Dominican Republic once again congratulated and expressed satisfaction for another victory attained by a female national team at an international competition.

This time, Mr. Danilo Medina was celebrating the triumph achieved by the U23 Women’s National Team at the Pan American Cup held in Lima, Peru.

In a letter addressed to Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of the Female Program of the National Federation, the Dominican president expressed “sincere congratulations to our U23 Selection for their championship at the Pan American Cup.”

He also extended special congratulations to player Gaila Gonzalez, who was named the most valuable player of the event, as well as to Vielka Peralta and Jineiry Martínez who were included in the All-Star Team of the competition.

Medina also recognized the contribution of the technical staff and expressed his confidence on “new and bigger international triumphs for own satisfaction and great joy for all Dominican people.”
