President Medina to visit Dominican Team in Italy

ROME, Italy, September 28, 2014 – President of the Dominican Republic Danilo Medina will make a visit to the Women’s National Team that is taking part in the FIVB World Championship entering in its fifth day of competition on Sunday.

Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, President of the Dominican Women’s Teams Program made the announcement and said there is the possibility that President Medina and his entourage can watch the match of the Dominican Republic against Italy scheduled at 2:00 (Dominican time). Both teams are undefeated with 4-0 records.

“His presence has been confirmed and the security staff is already in the playing venue in Rome,” he said.

Marte Hoffiz commented that the visit of Danilo Medina to the Dominican Team will be of a big motivation for the players and his kind willingness is much appreciated by the national team and the Dominican people.

“We really appreciated this visit and President Media now will have the opportunity to have first-hand knowledge of the work accomplished by a group of men and women in our national volleyball, a work for the last 22 years with a lot of work and sacrifice,” Marte Hoffiz said.
