President of FIVB to attend NORCECA Congress
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, July 11, 2013 – The NORCECA
Confederation is pleased to inform that FIVB President, Dr. Ary
Graça Filho has
accepted an invitation to attend as special guest our XXII
Congress to be held in the city of Tijuana, Mexico on November
2-3.
Dr. Graça Filho will participate also in the pre-Congress
activities that include the Executive Committee and Board of
Administration meetings on October 31 and the Sport Management
Seminar for National Federations Category I and II and Regional
Members to be conducted on November 1.
The President of FIVB will participate also in the Fourth
Congress of the Pan American Volleyball Union (UPV) to take
place in the afternoon of November 3.
“It will be an honor to receive the distinguished visit of Dr.
Graça Filho and I am sure all the National Federations
representatives share our feelings,” NORCECA President,
Cristobal Marte Hoffiz said. “His only presence will provide
motivation to have a very productive meeting and will serve as
morale support to all of us.”
The presidents of the other four continental confederations of
FIVB –Dr. Saleh Ahmed Bin Nasser (AVC), Dr. Amr Elwani (CAVB),
Mr. Andre Meyer (CEV) and Dr. Rafael Lloreda (CSV)- have also
received formal invitations to attend the Congress to be held at
Hotel Grand Tijuana.
On the occasion of the FIVB Boys’ U19 World Championship, the
president of NORCECA took part in several meetings with the
local organizing committee for the XXII Congress under the
direction of FIVB Executive Vice President, Mr. Saul Castro
Verdugo and Mr. Jesus Perales Navarro, President of Mexican
Volleyball Federation. |
