Puerto Rican Mieles satisfied with performance of his team
SAITAMA, Japan, September 24, 2018 – Puerto Rican national
coach, José Mieles liked the collective work of the team during
the first friendly match of the training camp that takes place
in Saitama on Monday-.
The Puerto Rican women are participating in a training base
ahead of the FIVB World Championship with the Ageo Medics, a
first division club of the Japanese V League.
"I saw the work well, of course there are several adjustments we
need to make in different areas of the game, but in general I
saw it work well being the first game. In the match I could
rotate all the players to evaluate the potential starting team.
We showed good block (14) but need to emphasize more in the
service," said Mieles after the match against Ageo Medics.
During the match, five sets were played and the same system will
be used in the second match on Tuesday, September 25. For
Wednesday 26 there will be an official game with all the
traditional protocols.
Mieles added before the debut at the World Championship, they
will also work on the efficiency of Complex 2.
"You have to play the K-2 and the service, during these days
here in the training base," Mieles said. |
