Puerto Ricans qualified to Pre-Olympic event in Havana

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, February 26, 2018 – Allanis Navas and María González will represent Puerto Rico at the NORCECA Central Zone Olympic Qualification Tournament towards the Youth Olympic Games in Argentina.

The Navas/González duo won the third stage of the national beach volleyball tournament in the U18 Class by defeating Paula Muñiz and María Somoza 2-0 (21-7, 21-10).

In the men’s field the Puerto Rican team will be composed by Randall Santiago and Héctor Rivera who won the final stage of the age-group division with a close score victory 21-18, 21-18 over Aldebol/Feliciano.

The NORCECA Central Zone Olympic Qualification Tournament will take place in Havana next May.

The Youth Olympic Games are scheduled from October 1 to 12 in Argentina.
