cruised easily
for 59 minutes to
crush Costa Rica 3-0
(25-10, 25-4, 25-18)
and now will face
Cuba for the fifth
place of the U-20 Women’s Pan American
Cup.
The
Puerto Rican captain
Daly Santana,
stood out with
their serves and
froze to Costa
Rica with 11
aces en route to
21 points as
the top scorer of the
game. Pilar
Victoria added 11.
Santana
said: "It was very
good for us, we had
the service and good results
in the attack,
but we still have a
game tomorrow and
hopefully finish
strong."
Carlos
J. Cruz,
coach of Puerto Rico,
said: "My team was able to stabilize
the serve, like in
the first game against them, but
were more effective
on the counterattacks and really
