Arnhem, Netherlands, September 29, 2022.- Puerto
Rico achieved its first victory in this World
Cup after beating the Cameroon team in its
fourth match.
The Puerto Ricans only needed three sets to
defeat the Cameroon team 3-0 (25-23, 25-16,
25-11). Puerto Rico outperformed the Cameroon
team in attacks (46-31), in blocks (6-5) and in
services (6-4).
Veteran Karina Ocasio was the best for the
Puerto Ricans with 13 points, followed by
Stephanie Enright with 11 and Diana Reyes and
Neira Ortiz who had 10 each. For Cameroon Simone
Bikatal and Carine Blamdai were the best with 11
goals respectively.
Puerto Rico plays again this September 30
against the Belgium team. |
